Steven Jow, MD, RSMK
Dr. Steven Jow is a proud Monmouth County native and graduate of the Ranney School, where he earned distinction as the New Jersey State Fencing Champion. He continued his academic journey at the University of Pennsylvania, majoring in neuroscience, and later earned his medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine. Dr. Jow completed his general surgery internship at Georgetown University Hospital, followed by residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Georgetown University–National Rehabilitation Hospital, where he was named Chief Resident. During his training, he was recognized with the “String of Pearls” Teaching Award from Georgetown University School of Medicine and received the McLean Outstanding Resident/Fellow Award, a national honor for excellence in leadership, education, and clinical performance. Dr. Jow then went on to complete his ACGME spine and sports medicine fellowship at the world renowned Hospital for Special Surgery.
Dr. Jow has served as an assistant team physician for organizations such as the New York Red Bulls (MLS), Brooklyn Nets G-League (NBA), and Cardozo High School Football (NY PSAL). He holds the prestigious RMSK certification, demonstrating advanced proficiency in musculoskeletal ultrasound, which allows for the diagnosis of orthopedic injuries without requiring an MRI, providing patients with faster, more accessible treatment options.
With extensive training in diagnostic and interventional procedures, Dr. Jow specializes in ultrasound- and fluoroscopic-guided spine injections, radiofrequency ablation, peripheral joint injections, selective nerve blocks, and Botox therapy for dystonia and spasticity. His approach is rooted in delivering highly personalized, evidence-based care. When he’s not in the clinic, Dr. Jow enjoys spending time with his wife and baby. He’s an avid fan of tennis, golf, and basketball, and proudly supports the New York Knicks and New York Jets!
